Dear Friends of Erwin Orchards,
We are looking forward to seeing all of you again this fall, as we celebrate "87 Years and Still Growing". As always, we remain committed to taking great care of all your needs as group tour participants.
To show our appreciation for your patronage, ONE teacher or group leader per class will be admitted FREE and will receive a very special apple pin (sorry, we cannot include aides and assistants). If your group is comprised of more than one class and each teacher wishes to have their donuts boxed separately, please indicate when booking. Please have an exact count at check in and all the money collected in advance for quantity booked. PAY FOR GROUP TOUR BY CHECK ONLY (school, organization or personal check accepted w/proper ID). Eliminating cash payment for tours has allowed us to speed up the check in procedure, which benefits everyone.
We will begin taking reservations on August 8th, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Please call local (248) 437-0150 or toll free (888) 8-CIDER-7 (824-3377).
We can accommodate any size group but please include enough adults to provide safe supervision for all students. NO written confirmation will be sent, but if your scheduled count varies more than five, please call. If rescheduling or canceling, you MUST notify us between 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. no later than one day prior to your tour, or after hours leave a message on the recorder. Participants must arrive at least fifteen minutes prior to scheduled time!! It will NOT be possible, due to the time restraints and acreage involved, to transport latecomers into the orchard to meet up with their group.
Picnic tables and outdoor porta-johns are available. Tables are plentiful, however, they cannot be reserved. It is a good idea to bring blankets so that you can sit on the ground if none are available.
Yellow Jackets, often mistaken for honey bees, are prevalent and beyond our control. As a sting can be very dangerous, please be aware of any allergies among your students and/or staff and be prepared to render any emergency first aid that may be needed.
In case of inclement weather we will call you early morning so that we can make a decision collectively as to whether or not to cancel. It is ALWAYS a good idea to ask your parents to dress their children warmly and for possible rain, as we do operate in a light rain!
Please inform all participants concerning our policy of PREPAYING for apples, before boarding wagons. We accept cash or check w/proper ID (Sorry, no Debit or Credit Cards).
Please note: The duration of each tour is approximate and depends on the size of the group.
* Every person boarding the wagon must pay (except a babe in arms not participating in the tour) and is entitled to the following with each tour; a wagon ride, souvenir, a glass of cider, and a donut.
TOUR A - Apple Tour - Includes picking one apple from the tree and above * items. The cost is $5.25 per person and takes about one hour and fifteen minutes.
TOUR P - Pumpkin Tour - Includes picking a child size pie pumpkin from the patch and above * items. The cost is $6.25 per person and takes about an hour and fifteen minutes.

TOUR S - Spooky Barn Tour - Includes the fun animated barn, geared for the young child and the above * items. The cost is $3.75 per person and takes about an hour. For $1.00 extra per person, this tour can be combined with Tours A, B or P and adds about fifteen minutes.
TOUR BOH - Barn of Horrors Tour - Includes special effects barn for the older child (no live actors) and above * items. This year's special price is $5.25 per person and takes about an hour and fifteen minutes. For $2.00 extra per person, this tour can be combined with Tours A, B or P and adds about thirty minutes.
PLEASE NOTE: TO RECEIVE NEXT YEAR'S LETTER, PLEASE BE SURE TO FILL OUT AN ADDRESS LABEL WHEN PICKING UP YOUR TREATS INSIDE THE CIDER MILL!!
Helpful Hint: Please bring a marker to write your individual student's name on their specially selected pumpkin (Please, NO bags allowed).
YOUR TREAT WILL BE OUR SAFE HIGH QUALITY UNPASTEURIZED CIDER. HOWEVER, WE CAN PURCHASE PASTEURIZED CIDER FOR YOUR GROUP, WHICH MUST BE REQUESTED AT TIME OF BOOKING!
